The Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation

General Donations
There is no greater vote of public trust in an institution than when it is given charitable contributions. Since 1981, Penrose-St. Francis has received more than $40 million from some 20,000 generous benefactors. We are particularly honored that those who financially support our mission to care for human needs, whether their gifts are large or small, represent the full spectrum of our community. Thanks to the broad philanthropy that we receive each year from the community and members of our own staff (employees, physicians and volunteers), Penrose-St. Francis is able to provide the very best care to anyone in need.

Over the past year, more than 2,500 people thought enough of the work done by Penrose-St. Francis that they chose to help us with charitable assistance. More than half of those donors were people who work at Penrose-St. Francis. Our charitable donations for the year totaled $2,000,000 in cash received. When we add multi-year pledges and new commitments from estate plan, the total commitments made to our Foundation, last year, exceeded $3 million. Charitable giving at such high levels tells us that the people of this community have the highest faith in the mission of Penrose-St. Francis and in its future.
